What these pages are for
Plumbing decisions sit close to money and safety, so every page on this site is written to one standard: a homeowner should be able to act on it — check a licence, read a quote, judge urgency — without taking this site's word for anything that can be verified at the source. Pages explain; they do not diagnose a specific property or replace an on-site assessment by a licensed professional.
Sourcing rules
- Licensing and verification facts come from State Plumbing Board, Colorado Division of Professions and Occupations (DORA) and are linked to the official register, not summarised from memory.
- Code and permit statements name the adopting authority; where rules are local, the page says so instead of generalising.
- Cost figures appear only with a named, dated third-party source in the same section. If a range cannot be verified, the page explains the cost structure instead of inventing a number.
- No fabricated reviews, testimonials, ratings or awards — anywhere on the network.
- City facts (counties, ZIP codes, area codes, population) come from public federal datasets.
Review cadence
Statute-dependent pages (licensing, disclosures) are re-checked against State Plumbing Board, Colorado Division of Professions and Occupations (DORA) materials when the legislature's session changes take effect, and at least annually. Cost pages are re-dated only when the underlying published source updates — the year shown on a cost page is the source's year, not a freshness claim.
Guides are reviewed by the editorial team before publication for accuracy against the cited sources and for compliance with the referral-service boundary described in the referral disclosure.
Corrections
Factual errors are corrected in place. To flag one, email [email protected] with the page address and the source that contradicts it — corrections that cite the issuing authority are prioritised.
Tooling
